Rachel Henderson

Hello, my name is Rachel Henderson, and I am delighted to have recently joined Tibii as a Service Delivery Manager. My professional journey has always been rooted in caregiving, starting with children and young people, and for the past eight years, focusing on the disability sector, where I have truly found my passion. Supporting individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I am excited to bring my expertise, dedication, and compassion to the Tibii community.

I began my journey in the disability sector as a support worker, a role that provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by both clients and support teams. I progressed to a Team Leader position and eventually transitioned into a managerial role. This progression has allowed me to develop a well-rounded perspective, combining frontline experience with strategic leadership. I believe that starting my career as a support worker has equipped me with the insight, empathy, and practical knowledge to better support our teams and ensure the needs of our clients are genuinely understood and addressed.

The work I do has reshaped my perspective on life. It has taught me gratitude, strengthened my relationships, and enhanced my communication skills—not only in my professional environment but also in my personal life. I am incredibly fortunate to have a career that aligns so closely with my values and gives me the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others.

When I’m not at work, I devote myself to being the best mother I can be to my two daughters, a supportive and equal partner, and a present and dependable friend. These roles, much like my work, are grounded in empathy, care, and connection—qualities I strive to bring into every interaction at Tibi.

Tibii has always stood out to me as a leader in the disability sector, particularly for its unwavering advocacy for the Human Rights Model. Since joining, I have seen firsthand the heart and integrity that drive every aspect of the organisation’s work. Tibii’s people-first approach and genuine care for the clients and teams it supports are truly inspiring. It is an honour to be part of such a dedicated and compassionate team, and I look forward to contributing to its ongoing mission to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we support.
