Tara Le Maistre
Support Coordinator
Hello, My name is Tara :)
My passion for supporting individuals with disabilities stems from my background in both professional and personal caregiving. My journey in disability support began with my personal experience as a caregiver for my four children, each of whom has complex needs. These needs include ASD, GDD, ODD, OCD and other complex issues which directly relate to their disability such as Receptive Learning Delay, "school can't" issues, Dyslexia, Anxiety, Depression and Trauma Related issues.
This lived experience has shaped my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and refined my ability to empathise and connect with clients through a person-centered approach. My professional role as a Disability Support Worker has provided me with additional invaluable insight into the importance of tailored support and the impact of advocacy, empathy and effective communication to support people to achieve their goals.
My approach to support coordination is rooted in the same dedication and compassion that guided me through my personal caregiving journey. My core strengths lie in my ability to link clients with services and resources, support their needs with the utmost attention to detail whilst upholding compliance with regulatory standards at all times. I believe that everyone has the right to make their own decisions and that they should be supported to implement true choice and control. I will endeavor to uphold these rights and provide a person-centered approach tailored to your needs.
Tara is based in the Northern Adelaide suburbs and has capacity for Level 2 Support Coordination participants.
