Hosted in South Australia, the expo brought together individuals with disabilities, their families, service providers, and advocates to foster understanding, connection, and empowerment. Here's a look back at some memorable moments and the spirit of "Rising Together."
CEO’s Corner: A Story of Rising Together at Expo2024
Pouya, Tibii’s CEO, shares his experience from the DAL Expo:
This year’s DAL Expo was truly unforgettable. Around 1 p.m., I found myself refilling one of our toy baskets where kids could spin the fortune wheel and win a prize. My role was simple—ensuring everyone had what they needed, supporting the team, and stepping in wherever necessary. After refilling the basket, I took a moment to step back and watch our team in action.
Our booth, the largest at the DAL Expo, spanned an impressive 48 square meters, with a 12-meter length offering a clear view of our team in action. I could see all 11 members, each completely immersed in their roles, warmly engaging with visitors, and representing the heart of Tibii. That sight was powerful—a reminder of the values we live by each day.
Suddenly, Danny, our Hills operations manager, came up to me and asked, ‘Do you think you’ve achieved what you set out for this year’s expo?’ I turned to him, gestured toward our team, and replied, ‘This right here—this team, this culture, the way we work and live together—this is the true achievement. The way we connect with visitors, share our mission, and create an impact in people’s lives—that’s the outcome. But this harmony, this connection, is the source.’
Danny looked around, nodding in agreement. I asked him, ‘Can you see it too?’ He smiled and said, ‘I can.’ In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride. Watching our team work together so harmoniously and compassionately was unforgettable. That day, that moment, is a memory that will stay with me. I’m immensely proud to be part of this Tibii family. We rise together, grow together, and transform lives together. For that, I am deeply grateful. Thank you to everyone who makes this journey possible.
Tibii Support Coordinators: Making a Difference
Our Support Coordinators (SCs) and Specialist Support Coordinators (SSCs) from Tibii had the honor of engaging with attendees, discussing the importance of human-centered support and empowering participants to navigate the complexities of the NDIS. Meeting so many inspiring individuals—both from the sector and the community—reinvigorated our passion for championing the rights of people with disabilities.
Our team left the expo motivated, with a renewed commitment to create lasting impacts through our tailored support services.
The event also opened doors for us to connect with other service providers and advocates, exchanging insights on providing compassionate, effective support.
